The NPCC Inter-Unit Drill Competition is an annual competition organised by NPCC HQ, aimed to assess cadets' proficiency in drills. Weeks before the competition, intensive trainings were conducted for the team consisting of both CLs and cadets. The trainings saw cadets putting in their best effort learning the drills, especially the few Sec 2 cadets who were new to baton and arm drills. Despite rigorous trainings, the drill team persevered and tried to perfect their drills in the shortest time possible.
The competition day soon drew closer and nervousness was definitely slowly creeping up on the drill team. However, the pursuit of excellence grew stronger for each passing training as the team felt more confident in executing the drills.
Not only did the competition help to forge memories and new experiences, it has also inculcated values like teamwork, trust, discipline and confidence in the drill team, as well as the opportunity for them to bond as one.

From our dear chairperson, Gene:
"To me, drill competition wasn't just a competition where we compete with other schools
to get into the finals. It was more on teamwork and cooperation. It also strengthened
our senior and junior bonds as we trained hard together for a long period of time.
On the day of the competition, we sat on the bus towards HomeTeam Academy
feeling anxious but excited. Not long after reaching HomeTeam
Academy, we had to get ready to go onto the competition
ground. With a last cheer for the whole squad,
the team marched out,
confidently."
GREAT JOB GUYS :)
