Training, training, and training!

After a long day of activities which marked the end of our school curriculum week, I believe that all of you are feeling really tired. But as the saying goes, "You reap what you sow." At the end of all these trainings, no matter how tough, you guys will be the ones who have matured and learnt from your experiences! :)

Sec. 2s, your CLs are really hoping that you can put in more effort for our weekly activities. Yes, drills may be boring for some of you, and PT can be extremely exhausting. But we do hope to change those perceptions and help you to learn more fun and interesting stuff every week; If we complete what we have to do faster for the day, then we can have more RTs, and games, etc. If we have to revise old syllabus every activity, both of us won't stand to gain anything.

Aside that, as what we have mentioned, you guys will have to earn your L/Cpl rank and 3rd Class Drill Badge, by showing that you're capable of doing good drills. For your Campcraft Badge, it'll be given after the tent-pitching component is done.

Apart from that, let's look at the photos! (:

A Successful R. Drive!

First and foremost, let's congratulate everyone on our efforts during the second round of Recruitment Drive today! We're proud to announce that approximately 45 Sec. 1s have indicated their interest in total, a combined number from the previous drive and today's. (Exact number to come soon!) And hope that you Sec. 1s have enjoyed the mini-activities specially just for you all!

Well done everyone!

As CNY (Chinese New Year) celebrations fall on Friday this week, our unit had the weekly activity on Wednesday today.

To the Sec. 2s, please practice the basic movements of Quick March (Marching), and Halt at home during your leisure time. We will resume drill practice only in 3 - 4 weeks time. In upcoming activities, you guys will be  learning tent-pitching, and completing the last component of your Campcraft badge. (: (Do view the YouTube videos whose links can be found on the WordPress, or approach your CLs if you need to clear any doubts!)

Enough talking, let the pictures do it.

First official training of 2012!

Good evening everyone! :)

CCHS(M) NPCC held its first official unit training for the year 2012 yesterday, on 13 January. Being the first activity, we'd had a talk conducted by OC Unit, Mdm. Latifah on goals and expectations, UOPA, and what to look forward to, etc.

It was back to CLTC as usual for the Sec. 3s, while the Sec. 2s spent the afternoon interacting with their CLs and also Miss Teo (TO IC for Sec. 2 Squad).

In addition, we had our first round of recruitment drive as well! Unlike previous years, we set up a booth during the first hours of training to recruit our dear potential Sec. 1s. Response was great, kudos to everyone!

Let's put in a greater effort as well next Wed. for our next round, together as a Unit!

Our first muster parade of the year!
