Unit Games Day 2012

Do you guys still remember what we did the previous activity?
You guessed right! It's our one and only NPCC Unit Games Day!
Well, it's already Monday but I still distinctly remember all the fun and laughter we had :D
Do you?

Let us give credits to our Overall I.C, who put her sweat and blood into the planning of this awesome Games Day, Mei Hang, and her friendly 2nd I.C who loves nothing but using the word 'Cute'! A round of applause for Fan Rui! (who was also our Emcee). Not to mention the other I.Cs, in-charge of Admin, Logistics, Finance and much more, who also gave their best effort towards this short but memorable day. Lastly, let us thank the Sirs and Madams who supported us in our journey to hold our very first activity.

Well, much said, I think that what I enjoyed most was watching you Cadets play the 'Pop the Balloon' Game. Even though I wasn't part of the fun (sadly), and even though I was very afraid that someone could get hurt, I think that this game was one of the most fun and heart-warming game I ever saw being played. I saw the laughter and the determination playing on the faces of you, sweat-soaked cadets and also all the teamwork you have incorporated in your pursuit of excellence. It made me feel a sense of nostalgia :D

But all in all, safety and discipline is still the most important. Fun comes second. Seeing that this activity was meant to be fun and games, that does not mean that discipline is not important. There were many a times that day we wanted to scream our head off and scold you all till your heads hurt, but we wanted to give you all what you needed after the long 2 weeks of exams - Fun.

To end off, I hope that you all will find something after every activity, be it fun or friendship, or even a sense of responsibility. Not all activities will be 'Games Day', but I promise that if you cooperate with us, your weekly activities will be more interesting than you think.

Bye! (and look forward to my next post :D)
