Some inspirational quotes to liven up the spirits of cadets!!

  • "See first that the design is wise and just; that ascertained, pursue it resolutely."
We must be determined in whatever we do, even if the odds seem against us. Remember!! there is always a silver lining behind every dark cloud...
  • "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right."

If we think we can, we can.. this quote is directed at all the cadets and cadet leaders who are preparing for the end of year examinations!! Good Luck!! May everyone score an A1 for all the subjects!!

  • "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."

We must all strive towards success!! Study hard and everyone will be rewarded...

15 Aug Activity

Secondary 2 Cadets playing games with a CL.

Secondary 2 Cadets learning survival cooking skills.

Secondary 3 Cadets revising baton drills.

Although many CLs were busy with fancy drills performance at the start of the activity, Ji Hao was able to keep the Secondary 2 cadets occupied while their squad-takers are busy with the performance. Also, he was able to control the Secondary 3 cadets until their squad-takers are back from their performance. The Secondary 2 squad-takers taught their cadets survival cooking skills for most of the activity while the Secondary 3 squad-takers taught and revised with their cadets baton drills and also to prepare them for the impending Corporal promotion test.

Laughters. That was the major component that made up the passing out parade 2008 for the 44th NCO sqd. The parade took place in concourse, due to d unexpected rain. But the outstanding drilling given by the NCO sqd 2008 certainly gave all the cadets a target to reached for.

One by one, each and every NCO went up and received their Certificate of Appreciation and plague from the OC. After which, the parade commander, SI(NPCC)HeWei , hand over the parade to Corporal(NPCC)RuiJing, and the NCO sqd gave their last salute to the officers. All of the NCOs except SI JiaYing n SI HeWei threw their beret up in the air which symbolise the passing out. It was a moment never to be forgotten.

The performance put up by the 3 Sqds were certainly meaningful n memorable. The PowerPoint slides prepared by the Chair and Vice-chair of the NCO sqd was hilarious and it goes back all the way to the Sec 1 life of the sqd. All of the NCOs laugh at the old memories and the funny bits.

The sense of belonging to the CCA was also deepen when acknowledgement to our contribution was mention. Cadets also proudly displayed the NPCC uniform throughout the period before recess. Updates!

The Campcraft Boys team had their competition today at the Home Team Academy Field. The boys were excited and nervous with the competition. The NCOs shared encouraging words with the cadets, as well as reminding them vital points to look out for in the competition on the bus. The atmosphere in the HTA was tense and exciting with all the perparation works being done, and the other teams getting ready. When the guys entered the competition field, the supporting audience which included the campcraft girls, cheered and gave the guys our moral support. Every minute was crucial and breath-taking when the starting horn sounded. The guys gave their full effort and completed their task within the time limit. Although some unexpected senario occured, the guys still manage to errect the flagstaff, completed the shelter and the gadget. After the judging, the guys shared tips and advice with the campcraft girls. It was indeed a unforgetful event. Let us all give the guys team our all rounding support in getting into the finals!
