4 April 2009

On the 3rd April, the secondary ones had a happy time learning new values through ‘Be a Man’ (BAM) which comprises of games such as commando crawl, and the balancing of log etc. Although our objectives were mostly obtained such as the enhancing of our physical and inner self, but most importantly, the cadet leaders saw the collaboration and the joy among the secondary one’s cadets. That was what that made the activity most satisfying to watch!

Annual Camp 2009

From 13th to the 15th March 2009, our Unit had the Annual Camp! It was a fun and enriching camp for all since this is the first time our whole unit is actually working together as one team and not as individual squad. This was also a meaningful event for the cadet leaders since it was our turn to enjoy the life and sparks of the campfire! Although there was a slight drizzle, but that did not dampen everyone’s spirits in performing their best for the camp! Overall, it could be considered as fun time for all of us! Hope that everyone enjoyed the camp!

AGM + Welcome Party

On last Friday, 6 February 2009, the AGM and the Welcome Party for the Secondary 1 cadets were conducted. During the AGM, the OC gave an overview of what happened during the year of 2008. During the Welcome Party, all the cadets had fun playing the games organised by the Secondary 3 cadets, as seen in the photos above. The activity ended on a high note after the Welcome Party ended.

2 February 2009

CL squad had High Rope Challenges (HRC) on 31st January 09, last Saturday. Course started at 8.30am, at Pulau Ubin camp resilience, ATC and STC campsite.
This post is for the CLs who missed it.

8.30-9.00 brief
1st station: P something pole (the one u need to balance on 1 pole then jump for the bar in front)
2nd station: Tunnel (super boring as its a repetition)
3rd station: Flying fox (heard it was 7 storey high COOL)
Lunch (provided, 1st time we ate at canteen, the forbidden ground!)
4th station: Dangle dual i think (requires a pair to team up and work their way up on poles horizontally parallel to the ground spaced with much distance, it takes alot of effort mann)
5th station: Missed (due to time)

Thats the whole day haha. One good thing was that we were not split into groups, but stick with schools instead.
I forgot who’s smart idea it is to put up the buttons. I have no idea what the people at the back are thinking. Seng hong SHRANK!

Hang time haha. Not much of comments.

Formal shot. Behind is the 7 storey flying fox.

Informal shot = Formal shot + some staged havoc

SCOOOOOOP... By the way for the sake of instructors and officers who don know what we are babbling about,

SCOOP = game over, good game, give up, hopeless, or something like that.

Thats all BB-errrrr

30 January 2009

30 Jan Activity

Today, 30 January 2009, was a rather satisfying since today was the very first official activity with the new batch of Secondary Ones. Although it does not necessary guarantee the number of cadets joining this year, but their smiles and promising looks was nevertheless heart-warming to see. Let’s all hope that the number of secondary ones joining is more than forty.

Today, 30 January 2009, was rather strenuous too since the secondary twos and threes were physically and mentally challenged with the teeth-gritting physical training. (PT) Although the number of people falling out was quite a few, however, under these extreme circumstances, we must try our best to ENDURE. Only then can we achieve our fullest potential.

8 January 2009

Sec one Uniformed Group Visitation

On 2nd January 2009, the entire Secondary One cohort spends their afternoon checking out the various co-curricular activities. It was a rather fun time for the cadet leaders and the secondary ones as they tried out some of our rope obstacles which were uniquely NPCC!! Let’s hope that these secondary ones would choose NPCC as their rightful choice.
