Early in d morning at 8.30am
the campcraft girls gathered tgth
the simple training left them eager
and hopeful towards the competition

the ground was perfect and nice
the logistics were full of glime
the girls are nicely divide
all in the best place to SHINE!

when the horn sound
the girls ran with might
fighting with time and speed
trying to bring back d best honour they could managed

when the ending horn blast
our hopes will last
as the judges judged
our completed task

we were praised
though the flag wasn't raised
the girls were not depressed
as seen from the wide smiles

SO.

lets give a round of applause for the hard working girls who gave in all their best for this competiton!

the results for the competition is as follow:
Boys team: 59th
Girls Team: 18th

though both team did not manage to get into the finals, they sure did put in their best, so lets show our appreciation to both team!

The Annual camp is round the corner. Cadets, please make sure that you have already started preparing for the necessities ofr the camp listed in your Campkit list. The duration of the camp will be from 4-6 March 2008. Enjoy your Camp!

Updates!

The Campcraft Boys team had their competition today at the Home Team Academy Field. The boys were excited and nervous with the competition. The NCOs shared encouraging words with the cadets, as well as reminding them vital points to look out for in the competition on the bus. The atmosphere in the HTA was tense and exciting with all the perparation works being done, and the other teams getting ready.When the guys entered the competition field, the supporting audience which included the campcraft girls, cheered and gave the guys our moral support. Every minute was crucial and breath-taking when the starting horn sounded. The guys gave their full effort and completed their task within the time limit. Although some unexpected senario occured, the guys still manage to errect the flagstaff, completed the shelter and the gadget. After the judging, the guys shared tips and advice with the campcraft girls. It was indeed a unforgetful event. Let us all give the guys team our all rounding support in getting into the finals!

6th training for the diligent Campcraft Team! Well, I must say that I am very impressed by what I have seen from them so far: great team spirit, fantastic attitude towards training and the desire to improve as a whole team! Well done!

Everyone is up and training starts at 8am every Saturday and this has been ongoing for several weeks. Glad to say, the Team has been performing exceptionally well! They consist of:

To the INCREDIBLE Campcraft Team, the importance of team work has been emphasized throughout all trainings, for it is only then that the Chung Cheng High (Main) NPCC Unit would be able to attain new heights. Though the training is tough and exhausting, I am sure we will be able to overcome all the hurdles that lie before us, and cross the finishing line as ONE TEAM.

If we put in our 100% and push ourselves to our limits for all trainings, we are already CHAMPIONS! Let’s press on Team! =D

1) Delvis, it’s time to buy a new pair of track pants!

2) Delvis (again), treat your friends nicer so that they will tell you immediately when your pants have spilt rather than one hour later!

3) Delvis (and once again), stop distracting the Team during debriefs! Like sticking things on places where they are not supposed to be found!

4) Jinxue, warm up your toes before exercises next time!

5) Mr Gloomy No 1 and No 2, smile more! Remember, your helpful HO is always there for you all! Plus, the ‘Heart-to-Heart Talk’ sessions are open for registration too! Sign up if you need to talk to me! =)

CCA recruitment drive 2008

The CCA recruitment drive was a success as we manage to attract the interest of many of the Sec 1s.

The firing range we build attracted many of the Sec 1s to try out. The flyers and magazine we gave out also contains many information regarding NPCC. We believe that we had made an stand in the many choices of the Sec1s.

We thanks all for the help and support given during the recruitment drive.

On the 28th of December 2007. the unit organized a BBQ session for all in celebration of this years achievements. The BBQ was an overall success as everyone enjoyed themselves with the games planned by the NCOs and the delicious food prepared. Pictures are uploaded in the photo album, under the album [Unit BBQ 2007]. pls go and check it out. Picture quality is not very god as its in night mode. So pls forgive.

The training for the Campcraft Competition has started. And there will be one training tomorrow starting on 8am. Be sure to be early and fall in on time!

On the 3rd of November, CCHMS had its Open House and all CCA groups are invited to set up booths as part of promoting our school, and our unit reacted enthusiastically to it. We built structure, hanged up banners, gave out flyers of our own design, and had baton drills demonstration, fancy drills performance, who had wide support from the visitors. Our booth managers oso explained the activities and the fun we had in NPCC.

All the hard work we made in the structure making was paid off when it was the tallest structure in the whole of open house, and it was fun to those who climbed it and enjoyed the cool wind and the grand view of Chung Cheng on our structure.

With the impression we have made, i am sure we will get a good response when we have our CCA recruitment drive.

Today, the team of Sgt HeWei, Sgt Tanjin,Sgt LongJinXue,Sgt TanSijia,Sgt ChengJiaYing and Sgt TanHuiYing participated in the Survivathon 2007 organized by Chung Cheng High (Yishun).
We are pleased to announce that they clinched the !st runner-up position. Well Done Team! We are proud of you.

ATTENTION!
to all CCHY survivathon participants.

Below is the details and things to take note for the competition.

-- Mission arena--
# A telematch in which participants are required to go through a few stages: like digging out a marble from a bucket of sand etc, to complete mission.

--Mission Possible--
#1 of the participants will be holding a toothpick in the mouth and he/she will hav to catch rubble bands with it from his/her team mates;;participants to stand in a stress position and crawl under each other one by one;;balloon will be placed on everyone back and are required to burst all.

--Pionnering--
#Participants will have to construct a ration holder by using 12 dowel poles and 4 metre long of twine provided.

--Quiz--
# Each participants to answer 20 MCQ based on NPCC knowledge, Total Defence,Ceremonial Drill and First aid.

--Word Formation--
#There will be 3 roles for the participants to act as: the instructor, the picture and the victim. The instructor will be shown a word and he has to instruct the Pictures to form the word while lying down, alphabet by alphabet. the victim have to identify all the alphabet and guess the word.
